Steak and Vegetables Preparation

Prepare the Peppers
Slice the red and yellow bell peppers into thin strips.

Cook the Peppers
In a skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced peppers, season with salt and black pepper, and sauté for about 5-7 minutes until they are soft and slightly caramelized. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

Cook the Steak
In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil and increase the heat to high. Add the shaved sirloin and season with salt and black pepper. Cook for about 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the steak is browned and cooked through. Remove from heat.
Sauce Preparation

Make the Peabody Sauce
In a bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, hot sauce, and garlic powder until well combined. Set aside.

Assemble the Sandwich
Slice the sub sandwich rolls in half and lightly toast them if desired. Spread a generous layer of Peabody sauce on the bottom half of each roll. Layer the cooked steak, sautéed peppers, slices of American cheese, and crispy fried onions on top. Place the top half of the roll on each sandwich.

Cut the sandwiches in half if desired and serve immediately, enjoying the combination of flavors!
