Grilled Cheese Sandwich

Prepare the Bread
Take two slices of white bread and lay them flat on a clean surface.

Add Cheese
Place one slice of white American cheese on top of each slice of bread.

Combine the Slices
Put the two slices together, with the cheese facing inward.

Butter the Outside
Spread 1 tablespoon of butter on the outside of one side of the sandwich.

Heat the Pan
Preheat a skillet or frying pan over medium heat.

Butter the Other Side
While the first side is grilling, butter the top side of the sandwich.

Flip and Grill Again
Carefully flip the sandwich over and grill the other side for another 3-4 minutes until that side is also golden brown and the cheese is melted.

Remove and Slice
Once both sides are golden brown and the cheese is melted, remove the sandwich from the pan and let it cool for a minute before slicing it in half.
Fruit Side

Prepare the Apple
Wash the apple thoroughly and slice it into wedges.

Prepare the Grapes
Wash the grapes under running water and remove any stems.

Serve
Arrange the apple wedges and grapes on a plate alongside the grilled cheese sandwich.
