Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Beef Tenderloin

Preheat your oven to 275°F (135°C). Season the Angus beef tenderloin with salt and black pepper. Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a heavy skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the beef on all sides until browned, about 3-4 minutes per side.

  2. 2

    Roast the Beef

Transfer the seared beef to a roasting pan and place it in the oven. Roast for about 1.5 to 2 hours, or until it reaches your desired level of doneness (135°F for medium-rare).

  3. 3

    Make the Lobster Agrodolce Sauce

In a saucepan, heat the remaining 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Add the lobster tails and cook for 5 minutes, or until they turn bright red. Remove lobster and let cool, then remove the meat and chop it into bite-sized pieces.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Sauce

In the same pan, add ginger, soy sauce, honey, and red wine vinegar. Simmer for 10 minutes until slightly thickened. Add the chopped lobster meat and mix well.

  5. 5

    Sauté the Shiitake Mushrooms

In a separate skillet, heat a little olive oil over medium heat. Add sliced shiitake mushrooms and sauté for about 5-7 minutes until tender.

  6. 6

    Finish and Serve

Once the beef is done roasting, let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Serve the sliced beef tenderloin drizzled with the lobster agrodolce sauce and accompanied by sautéed shiitake mushrooms and young onions.
