Beef Tenderloin

Method

Cooking the Beef Tenderloin

  1. 1

    Prepare the Beef

Season the beef tenderloin generously with salt and black pepper. Allow it to sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes before cooking.

  2. 2

    Melt the Butter

In a large skillet, melt the unsalted butter over low heat. Add fresh thyme and let it infuse for about 5 minutes.

  3. 3

    Poach the Beef

Once the butter is infused, increase the heat to medium. Add the seasoned beef tenderloin to the skillet and cook, turning occasionally, for about 15-20 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 130°F for medium-rare.

  4. 4

    Sear the Beef

Remove the beef from the butter and let it rest for a few minutes. In another skillet, sear the beef on high heat for 1-2 minutes on each side for a crispy crust.
