Prepare the Graham Crust
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and granulated sugar. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan. Bake for 10 minutes, then remove and let cool.

Prepare the Cheesecake Filling
In a large bowl, beat together the mascarpone cheese, cream cheese, and powdered sugar until smooth. Add in the buttermilk and vanilla extract, mixing well. Slowly fold in the cooled lemon curd until combined.

Assemble the Cheesecake
Pour the cheesecake filling over the cooled graham cracker crust. Bake at 325°F (160°C) for 45-50 minutes or until the center is set. Remove from the oven and let cool before refrigerating for at least 4 hours.

Prepare the Elderberry Topping
If using dried elderberries, rehydrate them in boiling water for 10 minutes. Drain and mix with a little sugar. Spread the elderberries over the chilled cheesecake before serving.
