For the Jalapeno Cheddar Bites

Prepare the Mixture
In a large mixing bowl, combine the diced jalapenos, shredded cheddar cheese, all-purpose flour, cornmeal, baking powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are incorporated.

Fry the Bites
Using a tablespoon, carefully drop spoonfuls of the batter into the hot oil. Fry in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Cook for about 3-4 minutes or until golden brown, turning occasionally.

Drain and Cool
Once golden brown, remove the jalapeno cheddar bites with a slotted spoon and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil. Repeat until all batter is fried.
For the Ranch Dipping Sauce

Mix the Ingredients
In a medium bowl, combine mayonnaise, sour cream, buttermilk, dried dill, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir until smooth and well combined.

Chill the Sauce
Cover the ranch dipping sauce and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
