Method

Cocktail

  1. 1

    Chill glass

Place a chilled coupe or Nick & Nora glass in the freezer for a few minutes or fill it with ice water while you prepare the cocktail to ensure the finished drink stays cold without diluting further.

  2. 2

    Build and stir

Fill a mixing glass with the large ice cubes. Pour in 2 oz Roku Gin, 0.75 oz Mancino Sakura Rose Vermouth, and 0.5 oz Cocchi Americano. Add 2 dashes of orange bitters. Stir gently with a bar spoon for 25–30 seconds until the mix is well chilled and slightly diluted (the mixing glass should frost). Stirring, not shaking, preserves clarity and texture.

  3. 3

    Prep glass

Discard ice water from the chilled serving glass (if used) and strain any remaining frost. If you prefer, run a thin orange peel around the rim for an extra citrus aroma (optional).

  4. 4

    Strain and garnish

Double-strain the cocktail from the mixing glass into the chilled coupe or Nick & Nora to remove any small ice shards. Garnish with a single edible flower floated on the surface or a thin orange twist expressed over the drink and laid on the surface.

  5. 5

    Serve

Serve immediately. Recommend sipping slowly to appreciate floral and citrus notes from the Sakura vermouth, Cocchi Americano’s gentle bitterness and aromatics, and Roku Gin’s botanicals.
