Method
Prepare Coconut Tea–Infused Agave (makes ~6 oz)
- 1
Brew the coconut tea
Steep 1 tablespoon unsweetened shredded coconut in 6 fl oz (180 ml) of just-boiled water for 5 minutes, then strain out solids. Allow tea to cool to warm temperature.
- 2
Combine cooled coconut tea with 4 oz (120 ml) agave syrup in a clean jar. Stir or shake until fully combined. Refrigerate. Yields a white coconut tea–infused agave syrup suitable for cocktails. Use 0.75 oz per cocktail.
Build the GH Margarita

- 4
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice (about 1 cup).
- 5
Add 2 oz blanco tequila or joven mezcal, 0.75 oz coconut tea–infused agave syrup, 0.75 oz fresh lime juice, and 0.5 oz Caribbean orange liqueur to the shaker.
- 6
Dry shake (no ice) for 8–10 seconds if you prefer a slightly frothy texture, then add ice and shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds until well-chilled. Alternatively, skip the dry shake and just shake with ice for 15–20 seconds.
- 7
Double-strain (using a Hawthorne and fine mesh strainer) into the prepared glass over fresh ice (rocks) or serve neat in a chilled coupe depending on preference.
- 8
Garnish with a lime wheel or wedge. Serve immediately.
