Prepare Glass and Garnish
1. Chill glass (optional)
If you prefer a colder drink, place the glass in the freezer for 5–10 minutes or fill it with ice water for 2–3 minutes, then discard the water before proceeding.
2. Add fresh ice cubes to the glass until it's about 2/3 full.
3. If using, run a lime wedge around the rim and drop the wedge into the glass or set it on the rim for garnish.
Pouring the Coke
4. Hold the chilled can or bottle at a slight angle and pour Coca‑Cola gently into the glass over the ice to preserve carbonation. Pour until the liquid reaches about 1 cm (1/2 inch) below the rim to allow foam to settle.
5. Allow the foam to settle for 10–20 seconds. If you prefer less fizz, pour slowly down the side of the glass.
6. Serve immediately with a straw or stirrer if desired.
