Method

Preparation Steps

  1. 1

    Prepare the Fish

In a bowl, mix turmeric powder, chili powder, salt, and lemon juice to create a marinade. Coat the fish fillets with the marinade and let them marinate for at least 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Coat the Fish

After marinating, take the fish fillets and coat them with rice flour. Ensure that each fillet is evenly coated.

  3. 3

    Fry the Fish

Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Once hot, gently place the coated fish fillets in the oil. Fry until golden brown and crispy, about 4-5 minutes on each side. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  4. 4

    Prepare Mint Chutney

In a blender, combine fresh mint leaves, green chilies, lime juice, salt, and a little water. Blend until smooth to create the mint chutney.

  5. 5

    Make Green Mango Slaw

Thinly slice green mango and mix with shredded carrots, chopped cilantro, lime juice, salt, and a pinch of sugar. Toss well and let it sit for a few minutes.

  6. 6

    Curry Fries

Cut potatoes into fries, soak in water for 30 minutes, then drain and pat dry. Toss with curry powder, salt, and a little oil. Bake or fry until crispy.

  7. 7

    Serve

Serve the fried fish hot with mint chutney, green mango slaw, and curry fries on the side.
