Filet Mignon Ingredients

Method

Cooking Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steaks

Take the filet mignon steaks out of the refrigerator and let them come to room temperature for about 30 minutes. This ensures even cooking.

  2. 2

    Season the Steaks

Rub the steaks with olive oil, then season generously with salt and black pepper on both sides.

  3. 3

    Sear the Steaks

Heat a skillet over high heat. Once hot, add the steaks and sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness is reached.

  4. 4

    Add Flavor

In the last minute of cooking, add butter, rosemary, and crushed garlic to the skillet. Baste the steaks with the melted butter and herbs.

  5. 5

    Rest the Steaks

Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest for at least 5 minutes before serving.

  6. 6

    Prepare Seasonal Vegetables

While the steaks are resting, sauté seasonal vegetables in the same skillet for about 5 minutes until tender. Drizzle with balsamic glaze.

  7. 7

    Serve

Plate the filet mignon with the sautéed seasonal vegetables. Drizzle any remaining pan juices over the steak and enjoy!
