Method

Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Cake Batter

In another bowl, mix the whole milk, vegetable oil, vanilla extract, and eggs. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.

  2. 2

    Bake the Cake

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans. Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans.

  3. 3

    Cool the Cakes

Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Remove from the oven and let cool in the pans for 10 minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.

  4. 4

    Make the Icing

In a mixing bowl, beat the softened butter until creamy. Gradually add the powdered sugar, mixing well. Add milk as needed to reach the desired icing consistency.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Cake

Once the cakes are completely cool, place one layer on a serving platter. Spread a layer of icing on top, then place the second cake layer on top. Frost the top and sides of the cake with the remaining icing.

  6. 6

    Serve

Slice the cake and serve. Enjoy!
