Ingredients for Benedict

Method

Instructions to Prepare Benedict

  1. 1

    Toast the English Muffins

Slice the English muffins in half and toast until golden brown.

  2. 2

    Cook the Canadian Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the Canadian bacon slices until heated through and slightly crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side.

  3. 3

    Poach the Eggs

In a pot, bring water to a simmer and add white vinegar. Crack eggs one at a time into a small bowl, then gently slide them into the simmering water. Poach for 3-4 minutes or until the whites are set but the yolks are still runny. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Benedict

On each toasted English muffin half, place a slice of Canadian bacon, followed by a poached egg. Spoon hollandaise sauce over the top.

  5. 5

    Garnish and Serve

Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Optionally, garnish with chopped fresh parsley. Serve immediately.
