Preparing the Baguette

Toast the Baguette
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Slice the baguette in half lengthwise and place it on a baking sheet. Bake for 10-15 minutes or until the edges are golden brown and crispy.

Prepare the Whipped Cream Cheese
In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, chopped scallions, fresh lemon juice, and salt. Using a hand mixer or a whisk, whip the mixture until it is smooth and creamy. Adjust the seasoning if necessary.
Assembling the Toast

Top the Toast
Spread a generous layer of the scallion whipped cream cheese onto each toasted baguette half. Layer the smoked salmon over the cream cheese, followed by a sprinkle of capers and thinly sliced red onion.

Drizzle the extra virgin olive oil over the assembled toasts. Garnish with fresh dill before serving.
