Method

Preparation of Cedar Plank

  1. 1

    Soak the Cedar Plank

Place the cedar plank in water and soak it for at least 1 hour to prevent it from burning on the grill.

Marinade Preparation

  1. 2

    Mix Marinade Ingredients

In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, chopped dill, salt, and black pepper until well combined.

  2. 3

    Marinate Salmon

Place the salmon fillet in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over it. Ensure the salmon is coated evenly. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more flavor.

Grilling the Salmon

  1. 4

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to medium heat (about 350°F / 175°C).

  2. 5

    Place Salmon on Cedar Plank

Remove the cedar plank from the water and pat it dry. Place the marinated salmon fillet skin-side down on the cedar plank.

  3. 6

    Grill the Salmon

Place the cedar plank with the salmon on the preheated grill. Close the lid and grill for about 20-25 minutes or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.

  4. 7

    Serve

Once cooked, carefully remove the cedar plank from the grill. Garnish the salmon with fresh dill sprigs and lemon slices before serving.
