Method

Making the Blondies

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x9 inch baking pan.

  2. 2

    Melt the Butter

In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt the unsalted butter. Remove from heat and stir in brown sugar and granulated sugar until well combined.

  3. 3

    Add Eggs and Vanilla

Allow the mixture to cool slightly, then add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.

  4. 4

    Combine Dry Ingredients

In a separate bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.

  5. 5

    Mix Wet and Dry

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring just until combined. Fold in the white chocolate chips.

  6. 6

    Bake the Blondies

Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  7. 7

    Cool and Cut

Let the blondies cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Cut into squares.

Assembling the Sundae

  1. 8

    Prepare the Serving

In a serving bowl, place one square of the cooled blondie at the bottom.

  2. 9

    Add Gelato

Top the blondie with two scoops of vanilla gelato.

  3. 10

    Add Toppings

Sprinkle toffee bits and walnuts generously over the gelato. Add fresh blueberries on top.

  4. 11

    Finish with Whipped Cream

Add a dollop of whipped cream on top of the sundae.

  5. 12

    Drizzle Maple Syrup

Drizzle maple syrup over the whipped cream and toppings to taste.

  6. 13

    Add Candied Bacon (Optional)

If desired, top with slices of candied bacon for an extra sweet and savory kick.
