Grilled Cheese

Method

Grilled Cheese

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Gather all the ingredients needed for the grilled cheese sandwich.

  2. 2

    Butter the Bread

Spread 1 tablespoon of butter on one side of each slice of bread.

  3. 3

    Assemble the Sandwich

Place a slice of cheddar cheese between the unbuttered sides of the bread slices.

  4. 4

    Grill the Sandwich

Heat a skillet over medium heat. Place the sandwich in the skillet, buttered side down. Grill for about 3-4 minutes until golden brown.

  5. 5

    Flip and Grill

Carefully flip the sandwich using a spatula. Grill the other side for an additional 3-4 minutes until the cheese is melted and the bread is golden brown.

  6. 6

    Serve

Remove the sandwich from the skillet, slice in half, and serve warm.

Fries

  1. 7

    Prepare the Potatoes

Wash and peel the potatoes. Cut them into thin strips to resemble fries.

  2. 8

    Soak the Potatoes

Soak the cut potatoes in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.

  3. 9

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).

  4. 10

    Dry the Potatoes

After soaking, drain the potatoes and pat them dry with a towel.

  5. 11

    Season the Potatoes

In a large bowl, toss the dried potato strips with olive oil, salt, pepper, and paprika until evenly coated.

  6. 12

    Bake the Fries

Spread the coated potato strips in a single layer on a baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.

  7. 13

    Serve

Remove from the oven, let them cool for a couple of minutes, and serve alongside the grilled cheese.
