Method

Burger Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Patties

In a bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until just combined and form into 4 equal patties.

  2. 2

    Cook the Patties

Heat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until desired doneness. During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty to melt.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Buns

While the patties are cooking, slice the burger buns in half and toast them lightly on the grill or in a toaster.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Burgers

On the bottom half of each bun, place a lettuce leaf, followed by the cooked patty with melted cheese, a slice of tomato, and some onion rings. Add ketchup and mustard to taste, then top with the other half of the bun.

Fries Directions

  1. 5

    Prepare the Potatoes

Wash and peel the potatoes. Cut them into thin strips or wedges, depending on your preference.

  2. 6

    Heat the Oil

In a deep frying pan or pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  3. 7

    Fry the Potatoes

Carefully add the cut potatoes to the hot oil in batches, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan. Fry until golden brown, about 4-5 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  4. 8

    Season the Fries

While the fries are still hot, sprinkle with salt to taste.
