Ice Cream Base Preparation

    Combine Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, whisk together the whole milk, heavy cream, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt until the sugar is completely dissolved.

  2. 2

    Chill Mixture

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate the mixture for at least 2 hours or overnight for best results.

  3. 3

    Churn Ice Cream

Pour the chilled mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions until it reaches a soft-serve consistency.

  4. 4

    Freeze Ice Cream

Transfer the churned ice cream to an airtight container and freeze for at least 4 hours or until firm.

  3. 7

    Cream Butter and Sugar

In a separate large bowl, cream the unsalted butter and brown sugar together until light and fluffy.

  4. 8

    Add Molasses and Egg

Add the molasses and egg to the butter-sugar mixture and mix until well combined.

  5. 9
