Base Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Gather all the ingredients you want to use for your omelette. Chop the vegetables and dice the meats if not already prepared.

  2. 2

    Beat the Eggs

In a bowl, crack three eggs and add salt and pepper. Beat the eggs with a fork or whisk until well mixed and slightly frothy.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Heat the Pan

Place a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add one tablespoon of butter. Allow it to melt and coat the pan.

  2. 4

    Cook the Eggs

Pour the beaten eggs into the skillet. Let them cook undisturbed for about 1-2 minutes until the edges start to set.

  3. 5

    Add Fillings

Once the eggs are mostly set but still slightly runny on top, sprinkle your choice of cheese, vegetables, and meats evenly over one half of the omelette.

  4. 6

    Fold the Omelette

Using a spatula, gently fold the other half of the omelette over the fillings. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until the cheese is melted and the omelette is cooked to your desired doneness.

  5. 7

    Serve

Carefully slide the omelette onto a plate. Cut in half if desired, and serve hot with additional salt and pepper to taste.
