Method
Cooking Pasta
- 1
Boil Water
In a large pot, bring 4 quarts of water to a boil. Add 1 tablespoon of salt.
- 2
Cook Fettuccine
Add the fettuccine pasta to the boiling water and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes.
- 3
Drain Pasta
Once cooked, reserve 1 cup of pasta water and then drain the pasta in a colander.
Grilling Chicken
- 4
Prepare Chicken
While the pasta is cooking, season the chicken breasts with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper on both sides.
- 5
Grill Chicken
Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Grill the chicken for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until cooked through and juices run clear. Remove from grill and let rest for 5 minutes.
- 6
Slice Chicken
After resting, slice the grilled chicken into strips.
Making Alfredo Sauce
- 7
- 8
- 9
Add Heavy Cream
Slowly pour in the heavy cream while stirring continuously. Allow the mixture to simmer for about 5 minutes.
- 10
Add Cheese and Seasonings
Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese, salt, and black pepper. Continue to stir until the cheese has melted and the sauce is creamy.
- 11
Combine with Pasta
Add the drained fettuccine to the Alfredo sauce, tossing to coat the pasta evenly. If the sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water a little at a time until the desired consistency is reached.
- 12
Add Chicken
Top the pasta with sliced grilled chicken and mix gently to combine.
- 13
Garnish
Sprinkle chopped parsley over the top before serving.
