Method

Cooking Pasta

  1. 1

    Boil the Water

In a large pot, bring 4 liters of water to a boil over high heat. Once boiling, add 1 tablespoon of salt.

  2. 2

    Cook the Spaghetti

Add 300g of spaghetti to the boiling water. Cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.

  3. 3

    Drain the Pasta

Once cooked, drain the spaghetti in a colander and set aside. Reserve a cup of pasta water for later use.

Preparing the Seafood Sauce

  1. 4

    Heat the Olive Oil

In a large skillet, heat 3 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat.

  2. 5

    Sauté the Garlic

Add 4 minced garlic cloves to the skillet and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to let it brown.

  3. 6

    Add the Cherry Tomatoes

Add 250g of halved cherry tomatoes to the skillet. Cook for 3-4 minutes until they start to soften and release their juices.

  4. 7

    Pour in the White Wine

Pour in 150ml of white wine and bring to a simmer. Allow it to reduce for about 2-3 minutes.

  5. 8

    Cook the Seafood

Add 200g of shrimp, 200g of scallops, and 200g of mussels to the skillet. Cover and cook for about 5-7 minutes until the seafood is cooked through and the mussels have opened.

  6. 9

    Season the Sauce

Stir in 2 tablespoons of chopped fresh parsley, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 1 teaspoon of black pepper. Mix well.

Combining and Serving

  1. 10

    Combine Pasta and Sauce

Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet with the seafood sauce. Toss to combine, adding reserved pasta water as needed to achieve desired consistency.

  2. 11

    Serve

Serve the seafood pasta hot, garnished with additional parsley if desired.
