Method

Crust Preparation

  1. 1

    Combine Ingredients

In a medium mixing bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, granulated sugar, and melted butter. Stir until the mixture resembles wet sand.

  2. 2

    Form the Crust

Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan to form an even layer. Use the back of a measuring cup for an even press.

  3. 3

    Bake the Crust

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the crust for 8-10 minutes or until lightly golden. Remove from the oven and let cool.

Filling Preparation

  1. 4

    Mix Cream Cheese

In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with an electric mixer on medium speed until smooth and creamy.

  2. 5

    Add Sugar and Sour Cream

Gradually add the granulated sugar and sour cream to the cream cheese, mixing until well combined.

  3. 6

    Incorporate Eggs

Add the vanilla extract and eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Make sure not to overmix.

  4. 7

    Add Flour

Gently fold in the all-purpose flour until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

  5. 8

    Pour Filling into Crust

Pour the cream cheese filling over the cooled crust, smoothing the top with a spatula.

  6. 9

    Bake the Cheesecake

Bake the cheesecake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes or until the center is set and only slightly jiggly.

  7. 10

    Cool the Cheesecake

Turn off the oven, crack the oven door, and let the cheesecake cool inside the oven for 1 hour. Then remove from the oven and let cool completely at room temperature.

  8. 11

    Chill the Cheesecake

Refrigerate the cheesecake for at least 4 hours or overnight before serving.

Serving Preparation

  1. 12

    Add Toppings

Once chilled, top the cheesecake with your choice of fruit topping and garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired.

  2. 13

    Slice and Serve

Carefully release the sides of the springform pan. Slice the cheesecake into wedges and serve chilled.
