1. Chill the glass (optional)
Place a tall glass in the freezer for 3–5 minutes or fill it with ice water while you prepare the drink to keep it cold.
2. Combine juices and syrup
In a cocktail shaker or mixing glass, add pineapple juice (0.5 cups), fresh lime juice (2 tbs) and cherry syrup (2 tbs).
3. Add ice and chill
Add about 1 cup of ice to the shaker, cap it, and shake vigorously for 8–12 seconds until well chilled and slightly diluted.
Assemble & Serve
4. Prepare serving glass
If you chilled the glass with ice water, dump the water out. Fill the serving glass with fresh ice (about 1 cup).
5. Strain the mix
Strain the shaken pineapple-cherry-lime mixture over the fresh ice in the serving glass.
6. Top with soda
Gently pour club soda (0.5 cups) over the back of a spoon or directly into the glass to preserve carbonation. Stir gently 2–3 times to combine without flattening the soda.
7. Garnish and finish
Garnish with a lime wheel and a maraschino cherry on a pick. Serve immediately with a straw.
