Method

Steak Preparation

  1. 1

    Season the Steak

Generously season both sides of the ribeye steak with salt and black pepper.

  2. 2

    Sear the Steak

Heat olive oil in a skillet over high heat. Once hot, add the steak and sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness.

  3. 3

    Rest the Steak

Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing.

Fries Preparation

  1. 4

    Prepare the Potatoes

Wash and peel the russet potatoes, then cut them into thin strips (about 1/4 inch thick).

  2. 5

    Soak the Potatoes

Soak the cut potatoes in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.

  3. 6

    Fry the Potatoes

Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C). Drain the potatoes and dry them thoroughly with a towel. Fry in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 4-5 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels. Season with salt.

Garlic Butter Preparation

  1. 7

    Make Garlic Butter

In a small saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat. Add minced garlic cloves and cook for 2-3 minutes until fragrant. Stir in fresh parsley and lemon juice, then remove from heat.
