Cooking Pasta
- 1
Boil the Pasta
In a large pot, bring water to a boil and add salt. Add the spaghetti and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Preparing Vegetables
- 2
Chop the Vegetables
While the pasta is cooking, wash and chop the bell pepper, zucchini, and carrot into bite-sized pieces. Halve the cherry tomatoes and cut the broccoli into small florets.
Making the Sauce
- 3
Sauté Garlic
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, but do not let it brown.
- 4
Cook the Vegetables
Add the chopped bell pepper, zucchini, carrot, cherry tomatoes, and broccoli to the skillet. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are tender but still crisp.
- 5
Season the Sauce
Stir in the red pepper flakes, black pepper, and adjust seasoning to taste. Remove the skillet from heat.
Combining Ingredients
- 6
Toss Pasta with Vegetables
Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet with the sautéed vegetables. Toss everything together to combine.
- 7
Finish with Cheese and Basil
Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and chopped basil until well combined. Serve warm.
