Method
Hummus Preparation
- 1
Blend Ingredients
In a food processor, combine the canned chickpeas (drained), tahini, garlic cloves (minced), lemon juice, olive oil, ground cumin, salt, and water. Blend until smooth.
- 2
Adjust Consistency
If the hummus is too thick, add more water, one tablespoon at a time, until you reach your desired consistency.
- 3
Taste and Adjust
Taste the hummus and adjust the seasoning if necessary, adding more salt or lemon juice to taste.
Olive Tapenade Preparation
- 4
Combine Ingredients
In a food processor, combine black olives, green olives, capers, garlic clove (minced), olive oil, and lemon juice.
- 5
Pulse to Desired Consistency
Pulse the mixture until it reaches a coarse paste. Be careful not to over-process; you want some texture.
Vegetable Preparation
- 6
Wash and Cut Vegetables
Wash the cucumber, carrots, bell pepper, and cherry tomatoes. Cut the cucumber into sticks, slice the carrots into thin rounds, and chop the bell pepper into strips. Leave the cherry tomatoes whole.
Naan Bread Preparation
- 7
Warm Naan Bread
Warm the naan bread in a toaster or oven as per package instructions to enhance flavor and texture.
