Preparation

    Prepare the Shrimp

    Peel and devein the shrimp if not already done. Pat them dry with a paper towel and set aside.

    Mince the Garlic

    Peel the garlic cloves and finely mince them. Set aside.

    Chop the Parsley

    Rinse the fresh parsley, pat dry, and chop it finely. Set aside for garnish.

    Prepare the Lemon

    Cut the lemon into wedges for serving.

Cooking

    Heat Olive Oil

    In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Allow the oil to warm up but not smoke.

    Add Garlic

    Once the oil is hot, add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes. Sauté for about 1-2 minutes or until the garlic is fragrant and light golden, being careful not to burn it.

    Cook the Shrimp

    Add the shrimp to the skillet in a single layer. Season with salt and black pepper. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side until the shrimp turn pink and opaque.

    Garnish and Serve

    Once the shrimp are cooked, remove from heat. Sprinkle the chopped parsley over the shrimp. Serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side.
