Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Potatoes

Wash and peel the potatoes. Cut them into thin strips to form fries.

  2. 2

    Soak the Fries

Place the cut fries in a bowl of cold water and let them soak for at least 30 minutes. This helps remove excess starch and makes them crispier.

  3. 3

    Dry the Fries

Drain the water and pat the fries dry with a clean kitchen towel. Make sure they are as dry as possible.

  4. 4

    Heat the Oil

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).

  5. 5

    Fry the Potatoes

Carefully add a batch of fries to the hot oil. Fry them for about 4-5 minutes until they are golden brown and crispy. Remove them with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

  6. 6

    Season and Serve

Sprinkle the fries with salt while they are still hot. Serve with ketchup on the side.
