Sherman Burger

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with salt and pepper. Form the mixture into two equal-sized patties.

Prepare the Burger Patties

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness. In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of American cheese on each patty to melt.

Cook the Patties

In a small bowl, mix together ketchup, mustard, and relish to create the burger sauce.

Make the Burger Sauce

While the patties are cooking, slice the onion and tomato. Prepare the lettuce and pickles.

Prepare the Vegetables

Spread mayonnaise on the bottom half of each burger bun. Place the cooked patty with melted cheese on the bun, followed by the burger sauce, onion, tomato, lettuce, and pickles. Top with the other half of the bun.

Assemble the Burger

Serve the Bunker Burger warm with your favorite sides.

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon strips until crispy. Once cooked, remove and place on paper towels to drain excess fat.

Cook the Bacon

In the same skillet, cook the burger patties over medium-high heat for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness. In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of American cheese on each patty to melt.

While the patties are cooking, split the burger buns and toast them lightly in the skillet until golden brown.

Toast the Buns

Spread mayo and burger sauce on the bottom half of each toasted bun. Layer the cooked burger patties with melted cheese, followed by bacon, sliced onion, pickles, lettuce, and tomato. Top with the other half of the bun.
