Prepare the Pulled Pork

Season the Pork
In a large bowl, mix together the garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Rub this seasoning mix all over the pork shoulder.

Cook the Pork
Place the seasoned pork shoulder in a slow cooker. Pour the water and barbecue sauce over the pork. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until the pork is tender and easily shreds with a fork.

Shred the Pork
Once cooked, remove the pork from the slow cooker and let it rest for a few minutes. Using two forks, shred the pork into bite-sized pieces. Mix the shredded pork with the remaining barbecue sauce in the slow cooker.

Warm the Tortillas
In a dry skillet over medium heat, warm the corn tortillas for about 30 seconds on each side until pliable.

Build the Tacos
On each tortilla, add a generous portion of the pulled pork. Top with chopped red onion and fresh cilantro. Squeeze fresh lime juice over the top to taste.
