Base & Spirits

Method

Prepare & Mix

1

Combine base ingredients

Fill a cocktail shaker with the ice (about 6 cubes). Add vodka (2 oz), elderflower liqueur (1/2 oz), fresh lemon juice (3/4 oz), and simple syrup (1/2 oz) to the shaker.

2

Shake

Secure the shaker lid and shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds, until the outside of the shaker feels cold and frosty.

Strain & Finish

3

Strain into glass

If serving in a coupe or martini-style glass: double-strain the cocktail into the chilled glass to remove ice shards. If serving in a Collins/highball: fill the glass with fresh ice (one scoop), then strain the shaken mixture over the ice.

4

Top with sparkle

Gently top the strained cocktail with chilled prosecco (2 oz). If you prefer a slightly lighter, more spritzy drink, add 1/2 oz club soda to taste.

5

Garnish

Express a lemon twist over the drink to release oils, run it around the glass rim, and drop it in. Add an edible flower or a small sprig of mint for an aromatic finish.

Serve

6

Serve immediately while the drink is cold and sparkling. Provide a stir stick if served in a tall glass so the guest can integrate the sparkle if it settles.
