Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Pasta

In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Protein

Slice the andouille sausage into rounds. Cut the chicken breast into bite-sized pieces. Rinse the shrimp and pat dry.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Sauté the Vegetables

In a large skillet over medium heat, add a tablespoon of oil. Once hot, add the chopped onion and bell pepper. Sauté until they are soft and translucent, about 5 minutes.

  2. 4

    Cook the Sausage and Chicken

Add the sliced andouille sausage and chicken pieces to the skillet. Cook until the chicken is browned and cooked through, about 7-10 minutes.

  3. 5

    Add the Shrimp

Stir in the shrimp and cook until they turn pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes.

  4. 6

    Combine with Sauce

Pour in the creole butter and stir to coat the protein and vegetables evenly. Season with salt, black pepper, and Cajun seasoning to taste. Allow to simmer for 5 minutes.

  5. 7

    Combine with Pasta

Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss everything together until well combined. Heat through for an additional 2-3 minutes.

Serving

  1. 8

    Plate and Serve

Serve the voodoo pasta hot, garnished with additional Cajun seasoning or chopped green onions if desired.
