Method
Cooking the Pasta
- 1
Boil Water
In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil. Add 1 teaspoon of salt to the water to enhance the pasta's flavor.
- 2
Cook the Penne Pasta
Once the water is boiling, add 2 cups of penne pasta and stir occasionally to prevent sticking. Cook according to package instructions, usually around 10-12 minutes, until al dente.
- 3
Drain the Pasta
Once the pasta is cooked, drain it using a colander and set it aside.
Making the Butter Sauce
- 4
Melt the Butter
In the same pot or a separate saucepan, melt 4 tablespoons of unsalted butter over medium heat.
- 5
Add Seasoning
Once melted, add 1 teaspoon of garlic powder and stir well. Allow it to cook for about 1 minute to release the flavor.
- 6
Combine with Pasta
Add the drained penne pasta to the butter sauce, stirring to coat the pasta evenly. Sprinkle 1 tablespoon of Parmesan cheese and season with black pepper to taste. Mix well and serve warm.

- 8
Sauté Garlic

- 9

- 10
Add Cheese and Seasoning
Gradually whisk in 1 cup of Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
