Method

Prepare the Salad

  1. 1

    Wash and Chop the Romaine

Rinse the romaine lettuce under cold water. Shake off excess water and dry using a salad spinner or patting with paper towels. Chop the lettuce into bite-sized pieces and place in a large salad bowl.

Make the Croutons

  1. 2

    Prepare the Bread

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Cut the bread into cubes and place them in a mixing bowl.

  2. 3

    Season the Croutons

Drizzle the olive oil over the bread cubes. Add garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Toss well to ensure all cubes are coated evenly.

  3. 4

    Bake the Croutons

Spread the seasoned bread cubes in a single layer on a baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes or until golden brown and crispy, stirring halfway through.

Assemble the Salad

  1. 5

    Combine Ingredients

Once the croutons are ready, remove them from the oven and let them cool slightly. Add the croutons to the bowl with the chopped romaine.

  2. 6

    Add Dressing and Cheese

Pour the Caesar dressing over the salad and toss gently to coat the romaine and croutons evenly. Sprinkle the shredded Parmesan cheese on top.

  3. 7

    Serve

Serve immediately as a side dish. Enjoy your fresh Caesar salad!
