Preparation Steps

  1. 1

    Prepare the Mushroom Brie Sauce

In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add the finely chopped mushrooms and sauté until they are soft. Add salt and pepper to taste. Reduce heat to low and add the brie cheese, stirring until melted and smooth. Set aside.

  2. 2

    Cook the Porterhouse Steak

Season the porterhouse steak with salt and black pepper on both sides. Preheat a grill or skillet over high heat. Cook the steak for about 4-6 minutes per side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness. Let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Onion Ringlette

Slice the onion into thick rings. Set up a breading station with flour, beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs in separate bowls. Dip each onion ring into flour, then into the egg, and finally coat with breadcrumbs. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat, then fry the onion rings until golden brown. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Dish

Slice the porterhouse steak and serve topped with the mushroom brie sauce. Arrange the crispy onion ringlette on the side.
