Method

Dressing

  1. 1

    Prepare the Dressing

In a bowl, mash the garlic and anchovy fillets together until you get a smooth paste.

  2. 2

    Combine Ingredients

Add lemon juice, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper to the bowl and whisk until well combined.

  3. 3

    Add Olive Oil

Slowly drizzle in the olive oil while whisking continuously until the dressing is emulsified and creamy.

Croutons

  1. 4

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. 5

    Prepare Bread

Cut the bread into cubes and place them in a bowl.

  3. 6

    Season and Toss

Drizzle olive oil over the bread cubes, then sprinkle with garlic powder and salt. Toss until the bread is evenly coated.

  4. 7

    Bake Croutons

Spread the seasoned bread cubes on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and crispy, stirring halfway through.

Salad

  1. 8

    Prepare Lettuce

Wash and dry the romaine lettuce, then chop it into bite-sized pieces.

  2. 9

    Assemble Salad

In a large bowl, combine the chopped romaine lettuce with the prepared dressing, tossing to coat evenly.
