Mojito Ingredients

Method

Mojito Preparation

1

Muddle the Mint

In a sturdy glass, place the fresh mint leaves and the granulated sugar. Use a muddler or the back of a spoon to gently crush the mint leaves to release their essential oils. Be careful not to shred the leaves too much.

2

Add Lime Juice

Cut the lime in half and juice one half directly into the glass. You can also cut the other half into wedges and add them to the glass for extra flavor.

3

Mix in the Rum

Pour the white rum into the glass with the muddled mint, sugar, and lime juice. Stir gently to combine all the ingredients.

4

Add Ice

Fill the glass with ice cubes to the top. This will keep your mojito cold and refreshing.

5

Top with Club Soda

Pour the club soda over the ice until the glass is nearly full. This adds a fizzy element to the drink.

6

Garnish and Serve

Garnish with a sprig of fresh mint and a lime wedge on the rim of the glass. Serve immediately with a straw or stirrer.
