Margarita Base

2 cups Tequila1 cup Lime juice (freshly squeezed)1 cup Orange liqueur (such as Cointreau or Triple Sec)1 tbs Simple syrup0 to taste Salt (for rimming glasses)

Garnish

2 pieces Lime wedges4 cups Ice cubes

Method

Preparation

Prepare the Glasses

Start by rimming your glasses with salt. To do this, rub a lime wedge around the rim of each glass and then dip the rim into a plate of salt. Set the glasses aside.

Mix the Ingredients

In a large pitcher, combine the tequila, freshly squeezed lime juice, orange liqueur, and simple syrup. Stir well to combine all the ingredients thoroughly.

Serving

Add Ice and Serve

Fill each prepared glass with ice cubes. Pour the margarita mixture over the ice until the glass is filled. Garnish with lime wedges and serve immediately.
