Prepare the Seasonal Fruit
Wash and slice the seasonal fruit of your choice into bite-sized pieces. Measure out 1 cup.

Prepare the Lime
Cut the lime in half and juice one half. Cut the other half into wedges for garnish.

Muddle the Herbs and Fruit
In a sturdy glass or cocktail shaker, combine the seasonal fruit pieces, mint leaves, and basil leaves. Use a muddler or the back of a spoon to gently press the ingredients together, releasing their juices and flavors.

Add Liquids
Pour in the silver rum, fresh lime juice, and simple syrup over the muddled mixture. Stir gently to combine all ingredients.

Add Soda
Top off the mixture with soda water, pouring it slowly to maintain the fizz. Stir gently again to mix.
Serving

Garnish and Serve
Add the lime wedges as a garnish, and if desired, a few extra mint or basil leaves. Serve immediately over ice for a refreshing drink.
