Chicken Preparation
- 1
Marinate the Chicken
In a bowl, combine the buttermilk, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Add the chicken breasts, ensuring they are fully submerged. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best results.
- 2
Prepare the Breading
In a shallow dish, place the all-purpose flour. Remove the chicken from the buttermilk marinade, allowing excess to drip off, and dredge each piece in the flour, coating evenly. Set aside.
- 3
Fry the Chicken
In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, carefully add the breaded chicken pieces. Fry for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.
