Directions
- 1
Prepare the Glass
Begin by chilling an old fashioned glass. You can do this by placing it in the freezer or filling it with ice water for a few minutes.
- 2
Muddle the Fruits
In a mixing glass, add the slice of orange and the whole cherry. Gently muddle them together to release their juices. Be careful not to over-muddle, as you want to maintain some texture.
- 3
Add the Liquids
To the muddled fruits, add the Redemption Bourbon, Créme de Cacao Dark, simple syrup, and chocolate bitters. Fill the mixing glass with ice cubes.
- 4
Stir the Mixture
Using a bar spoon or stirring stick, stir the mixture for about 20-30 seconds until well chilled and combined.
- 5
Strain Into Glass
Remove the ice from the chilled old fashioned glass and strain the mixture from the mixing glass into the prepared glass, ensuring to leave the muddled fruits behind.
- 6
Garnish
Sprinkle cocoa powder on top of the drink for an added chocolatey touch and garnish with an additional cherry or orange peel if desired.
- 7
Serve
Enjoy your Chocolate Old Fashioned responsibly!
