Method

Burger Preparation

  1. 1

    Make the Burger Patty

In a bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until just combined, then form into a patty about 3/4 inch thick.

  2. 2

    Cook the Burger

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patty for about 4-5 minutes on one side. Flip the patty and cook for another 4 minutes. Add the American cheese slice on top of the patty during the last minute of cooking to allow it to melt.

Toppings Assembly

  1. 3

    Prepare the Vegetables

While the burger is cooking, wash the lettuce leaf and slice the tomato into thick slices. Also, slice the red onion into thin rounds.

  2. 4

    Assemble the Burger

Once the burger is cooked, place it on a toasted burger bun (optional). Layer the lettuce, tomato slice, onion slices, and pickle chips on top of the burger.

Country Fries Preparation

  1. 5

    Prepare the Potatoes

Wash and peel the Russet potatoes. Cut them into thick strips to form fries.

  2. 6

    Fry the Potatoes

In a large pot, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Use enough oil to submerge the fries. Once the oil is hot (about 350°F or 175°C), carefully add the potato strips in batches. Fry for 5-7 minutes until golden brown and crispy. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels. Sprinkle with salt to taste.
