Method
Prepare the Burgers
- 1
Form the Patties
In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently and form into 4 equal-sized patties.
- 2
Cook the Bacon
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon strips until crispy. Remove and place on paper towels to drain excess grease.
- 3
Cook the Patties
In the same skillet, add the beef patties and cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side. Flip the patties and place a slice of cheddar cheese on each. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until the cheese is melted and the patty is cooked to your desired doneness.
Prepare the Fries
- 4
Cut the Potatoes
Wash and cut the potatoes into thin strips to make fries.
- 5
Heat the Oil
In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).
- 6
Fry the Potatoes
Carefully add the potato strips to the hot oil in batches. Fry until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels. Sprinkle with salt while hot.
Assemble the Burger
- 7
Toast the Buns
Optional: Toast the burger buns on a skillet until lightly golden.
