Method
Waffle Preparation
- 1
Preheat the Waffle Iron
Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- 2
Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt until well combined.
- 3
- 4
Combine Ingredients
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix; a few lumps are okay.
- 5
Cook the Waffles
Lightly grease the waffle iron with non-stick spray or additional melted butter. Pour enough batter into the preheated waffle iron to cover the surface (typically about 1/2 to 3/4 cup). Close the lid and cook according to the manufacturer's instructions until golden brown and crispy.
Topping the Waffles
- 6
Prepare the Fruit
While the waffles are cooking, wash the blueberries, raspberries, and strawberries. Slice the strawberries and banana.
- 7
Assemble the Waffles
Once the waffles are done, remove them from the waffle iron and place them on a serving plate.
- 8
Add Toppings
Top each waffle with a generous handful of blueberries, raspberries, sliced strawberries, and banana slices.
- 9
Finish with Whipped Cream and Syrup
Add a dollop of whipped cream on top of the fruit and drizzle with maple syrup to taste.
