French Toast

Ice Cream Batter

Method

Prepare French Toast Mixture

  1. 1

    Mix Ingredients

In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, sugar, and a pinch of salt until well combined.

Prepare Ice Cream Batter

  1. 2

    Combine Batter Ingredients

In another bowl, mix the vanilla ice cream, flour, baking powder, and milk until smooth and well combined.

Cook French Toast

  1. 3

    Dip and Cook

Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat and lightly grease it. Dip each slice of brioche into the egg mixture, allowing it to soak briefly. Then, dip the soaked brioche into the ice cream batter, ensuring it’s well coated.

  2. 4

    Fry the French Toast

Place the battered brioche onto the hot skillet. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy.

Prepare Toppings

  1. 5

    Whip the Cream

In a mixing bowl, combine heavy cream and sugar. Using a hand mixer, whip the cream until soft peaks form.

  2. 6

    Prep Strawberries

Wash and slice the fresh strawberries. Set aside.

Serve

  1. 7

    Assemble the Dish

Place the cooked French toast on a serving plate. Top with fresh strawberries, a generous dollop of whipped cream, and a dusting of powdered sugar before serving.
