Method

Prepare the Wings

  1. 1

    Clean and Dry the Wings

Rinse the chicken wings under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.

  2. 2

    Season the Wings

In a large bowl, combine the wings, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Toss until the wings are evenly coated.

Cook the Wings

  1. 3

    Heat the Oil

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat vegetable oil to 375°F (190°C).

  2. 4

    Fry the Wings

Carefully add the seasoned wings to the hot oil in batches. Fry for about 10-12 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy. Remove them and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

Make the Buffalo Sauce

  1. 5

    Melt the Butter

In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the stick of unsalted butter.

  2. 6

    Combine Ingredients

Once melted, add the hot sauce, garlic powder, and vinegar. Stir until well combined and heated through.

Toss the Wings

  1. 7

    Mix Wings with Sauce

In a large bowl, toss the fried wings with the buffalo sauce until evenly coated.

Serve

  1. 8

    Prepare the Plate

Arrange the buffalo chicken wings on a serving platter with celery sticks and a bowl of blue cheese dressing on the side.
