Brew the Maté
In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Remove from heat and add 1 cup of yerba maté. Let steep for about 5 minutes.

Strain the Tea
After steeping, strain the mixture into a large pitcher to remove the yerba maté leaves.

Sweeten and Flavor
Add 2 tablespoons of honey or agave syrup and 2 tablespoons of lemon juice to the tea. Stir well until fully dissolved.

Chill the Maté
Let the pitcher cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 1 hour or until chilled.
