Prepare the Tofu
Drain the firm tofu and press it to remove excess moisture. Cut into small cubes.

Fry the Tofu
In a skillet over medium heat, add sesame oil. Once hot, add the tofu cubes and fry until golden brown on all sides, approximately 8-10 minutes. Remove from heat.

Mix the Filling
In a large bowl, combine the fried tofu, diced onion, shredded cabbage, mung bean sprouts, diced water chestnuts, diced bell pepper, and roasted cashews. Stir in soy sauce, minced garlic, minced ginger, salt, and pepper to taste.

Assemble the Lettuce Boats
Spoon the filling into the lettuce leaves, creating boats. Top with crispy chow mein noodles.
