Method

Cheese Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Cheese Mixture

In a large mixing bowl, combine the Chihuahua cheese, Monterey Jack cheese, cream cheese, diced green chilies, garlic powder, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Mix until all ingredients are well combined and have a uniform consistency.

  2. 2

    Transfer to Baking Dish

Transfer the cheese mixture into a baking dish or oven-safe skillet, spreading it evenly across the bottom.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Melt the Cheese

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is completely melted and bubbly.

Tortilla Preparation

  1. 4

    Warm the Tortillas

While the cheese is melting, warm the corn tortillas on a dry skillet over medium heat for about 30 seconds on each side, or until they are pliable and slightly toasted.

Serving

  1. 5

    Serve

Once the cheese is melted and bubbly, remove it from the oven. Serve immediately with the warm tortillas on the side for dipping into the queso fundido.
